"Aaaaa Matt! Thanks SO much. Everybody we spoke to made a point of saying just how brilliant you were and how at ease they felt with you! AND that you were in the right place when those important bits were happening and blended when needed. Just perfect. It was awesome to have you there. We're so pleased we chose you 💕"

Burgh House Wedding Photography - A Summer Wedding In London
When Harry and Liam first reached out to me about their Burgh House wedding, I knew we were in for something special. These two have an energy that is absolutely infectious and, as a London wedding photographer, there is nothing I love more than capturing a couple who just want to throw a great party and be fully present with their favorite people.
The Venue: Burgh House, Hampstead
If you haven’t been to Burgh House, you’re missing out on one of the best hidden gems in North London. Tucked away in the heart of Hampstead, it’s a stunning Queen Anne mansion that manages to feel both grand and incredibly intimate at the same time. For a London wedding, it offers that perfect mix of historic charm and relaxed, city vibes. One of the reasons I love being a London wedding photographer at Burgh House is the light. The wood-panelled rooms and the beautiful garden provide a comfortable and welcoming vibe for a relaxed London wedding.
Harry and Liam’s ceremony in the Music Room was everything a wedding should be: emotional, loud with laughter, and filled with a sense of genuine connection. Keep scrolling and you'll see what I mean. But before we got stuck into their ceremony, we met at the Burgh House Cafe for a coffee, went for a wander to grab some pre-ceremony portraits and met their guests at The Duke of Hamilton for a drink...
London Wedding Photographer
As a documentary-style London wedding photographer, my approach is always to be right in the mix without being "that guy in the way." Harry and Liam wanted a day that wasn't dictated by their photographer’s schedule. They wanted to hug their friends, drink champagne, and actually experience their wedding day. We kept the formalities to a minimum, and focused on the "honest-to-God" fun. From the quiet, nervous glances during the ceremony, to their super-emotional vows and the absolute joy of the celebrations afterward, these are the moments that really matter.
Emotion is the thing that really draws my eye, and Harry & Liam's ceremony was full of it, including a really meaningful hand-fasting ceremony to literally 'tie the knot'. After the ceremony, we all headed into the garden for a drink, plenty of hugs and more than a few more tears, before boarding a London bus to head to Pyra for the reception...
Wedding Reception at Pyra, Queens Park
After the ceremony, the party shifted gears and headed over to Pyra in Queen’s Park. If Burgh House was the soul of the day, Pyra was the heart of the party. This space is incredible; modern, industrial, and the perfect canvas for a London wedding reception that prioritises a good time over tradition. The highlight? The ceilidh! If you’ve never photographed a ceilidh in a room full of people who have had a few drinks, it is absolute, beautiful carnage. As a London wedding photographer, I live for this. People flying across the room, missed steps, and genuine, unbridled joy. There were no "polite" dance floor moments here; it was high-energy from the first note to the last. Harry and Liam were right in the thick of it, leading the charge and making sure every single guest was up and moving. It was the perfect end to a day that was all about movement, laughter, and human connection.
